John is a Denton native and is a graduate of Denton High. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and where also played football for Baylor. John joined Scott Brown Properties in '06 and hit the ground running in an attempt to better serve Denton's business community. Along with work John is currently an active member of several local community groups including: North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, President of Denton County Ducks Unlimited Chapter, is an Ambassador for the Denton Chamber of Commerce and is a life member of the Dallas Safari Club. John and his wife Erika Withers welcomed their first baby girl, Avery Elizabeth in to the world in March of 2010. When John's not at work he enjoys the outdoors, he plays golf and is an avid fisherman and duck hunter.
