Raised in Denton County on 20 acres in Lewisville, TX, John has over 30 years of corporate expansion, relocation, and economic development experience. John is well-versed in the commercial and industrial real estate market by assisting national and international companies throughout his career as a Director within a major commercial real estate services firm as well as a State and Local Tax and Business Incentives Director within one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms. As a Commercial Agent within Scott Brown Commercial Group, John is able to put his knowledge and skills to great use when working with employers, tenants and property owners to visualize and validate their goals and objectives and fulfill their business aspirations.

John’s extensive skillset and certifications include: a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University, membership within the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), membership within the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC), a Texas Real Estate License, and an Arkansas Real Estate License. John is also a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), a certification presented by the IEDC to highlight an individual’s credibility and performance in the field of Economic Development and Corporate Site Selection.

John spent more than 6 years in Austin, Texas, working for the Office of the Governor as a Business Development Director for both Governor Ann Richards and Governor George W. Bush. Prior to joining the Office of the Governor, John was a Vice President for the Lubbock Board of City Development where he spent most of his time recruiting new business to the area and solidifying existing business retention programs and initiatives. John is an avid Lake Texoma sailor with bareboat experience in the US and British Virgin Islands and enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family and friends here in the North Texas Region.
